Graphical interface Lua Universal Tools v5.0 beta - RELEASE ! (new edition 14.12.2017)
Thank you @Croc The keyboard command [Shift + I] is what I was looking for.
This command is not in the Help of the addon, nor in the manual (or I have not found it).
I think you have to update the Help menu. Some instructions are incorrect.
"A complete list od keyboard shortcuts, see menu /Help" Where?
" Lua Universal toos on/off- Click LM-button to the right os the screen" Where is the LM button?

Hi Diigg!
1. "see menu /Help" - this is the Celestia Menu, see the screenshot:
2. Lua Universal toos on/off - keyboard command [Shift + I], it is not in the menu Celestia!
Alternatively, use the mouse to click the left button on the sensor area, which is located on the starboard side of the screen. See screenshot:
Note. The file HelpBox.lua will be corrected. See next message.

Update Panel3.
The coordinates were not automatically cleared when switching to another coordinate system.
Before choosing another coordinate system, it was necessary to manually disable the previous system:
The updated Panel3 does not have this drawback:
Update:
1. Copy and unzip the file Panel3Box.zip
2. Place the Panel3Box.lua file in the folder ..\lua-applications\lua_universal_tools_v5\tools
3. Restart Celestia

Croc, how do I replace the Lua Edu Tools from Celestia Origin with Lua Universal Tools?
Hi, SpaceFanatic64!
It is not difficult to replace Lua Edu Tools with Lua Universal Tools:
- 1. uninstall Lua Edu Tools (delete the Celestia \ extras \ Lua Edu Tools folder)
- 2. Install Lua Universal Tools (install the Celestia \ lua-applications folder)
- 3. replace the file luahookinit.lua (located in the root directory Celestia)
- 4. Make some changes to the file celestia.cfg, including:
Code: Select all
# ExtrasDirectories [ "extras-standard" "extras" ]
ExtrasDirectories [ "lua-applications" "extras" "extras-standard" ]
Please note that for Lua Universal Tools to work:
- Upgraded base of asteroids, см. тему Modernization of the base of asteroids https://celestia.space/forum/viewtopic.php?p=137883#p137883
- Upgraded base of comets
- Collection of spacecraft for Lua Universal Tools см. https://celestia.space/forum/viewtopic.php?p=137452#p137452
Hence the recommendation:
- It is not advisable to replace Lua Edu Tools with Celestia Origin using Lua Universal Tools
- Lua Universal Toalls is advisable to install on Celestia 1.6.1.
- Use the Celestia Origin database to create (update) upgraded databases for the Lua Universal Tools.
- Another nuance. Celestia versions of Origins are updated every 4 months. When you install the old version is deleted, the new one is installed. Based on this, replacing the Lua Edu Tools with Lua Universal Tooles would also have to be replaced every 4 months. This is irrational!

Croc, how do I replace the Lua Edu Tools from Celestia Origin with Lua Universal Tools?
Another difference between Celectia 1.6.1 and the project Celestia Origin.
In the original Celestia, prefixes are not applied to the names of objects, and in Celestia, Origin is applied. Example:
2003 J 7 - designation in Celestia 1.6.1
S-2003 J 7 - designation in Celestia Origin.
The original Celestia does not use parentheses in the name of objects. Example:
15457 1998 YN6 - designation in Celestia 1.6.1
(15457) 1998 YN6 is the designation in Celestia Origin.
===============
Lua Universal Tools is designed for Celestia 1.6.1.
Lua Universal Tools is designed for Celestia 1.6.1.
Lua Universal Tools without recoding bases in Celestia Origin will not work.

Thanks for the work @Croc.
I find it a useful and interesting tool, but I do not understand why it has to change the parameters of ambient light, orbits, shadows or other things related to visualization.
I think that should be something to the liking of each user.
Personally, I find it very annoying. In addition, when you exit the guide, it does not restore the previous display parameters and you have to activate or deactivate each time.

Thanks for the work @Croc.
Thank you for evaluating my work.
I find it a useful and interesting tool, but I do not understand why it has to change the parameters of ambient light, orbits, shadows or other things related to visualization.
I think that should be something to the liking of each user.
It is impossible to make the view settings satisfy all users. At this stage of the upgrade, I preliminarily select the viewing parameters for each object and record them with the keyboard command [Ctrl] + [Insert] and insert them into the celestia function: seturl ("cel: // ..........")
Advanced users can pick up other viewing options and write from in celestia: seturl ("cel: // .........."). This is simple.
Personally, I find it very annoying. In addition, when you exit the guide, it does not restore the previous display parameters and you have to activate or deactivate each time.
In this part I agree with you.
Diigg, In order not to clog the topic, I propose to continue the discussion of these issues in personal correspondence.
