Hello,
Can I generate an image of the night sky and save it as a high resolution image for lasing onto different materials? Or can someone recommend a program that can do that?
Thanks so much,
Phridge

I have been told of, but do not know for sure, of a linux solution.
Apparently you can make a virtual display adapter with any resolution you want.
Make a ridiculous one, then select it as your secondary, put celestia on it, and capture the image from it via script or blind terminal control.
It is supposed to be related to how virtualbox on linux works.
Fair warning, I am not a linux person, this is based on what someone said to me years ago.
Real linux people should comment to confirm, deny, or say the project died.
Janus.
