Toutatis, I wanted to keep your .xyzv file, that's why I put another name to mine

Yes we can refine with a deadline until the hours but we must not forget that it increases the size of the file and the place taken into memory. And it's not the only satellite.

To see the use

 :hi:

Updates for Hayabusa-2... about XYZV-file (interplanetary cruise, step 3 hours... when around Ryugu and the Earth flyby, step 10 minutes)

Updates for Parker Solar Probe... about XYZV-file ( inteplanetary cruise, step 3 hours... when the Venus flyby, step 10 minutes)

p.s. I do not want the spacecrafts to crash to the planets or asteroids...

It's good solution to draw orbit. Thanks :)

by viewing the orbit of PSP by accelerating the time scale to x100000, we can see its course around the Sun in few minutes.

PSP cross Venus 7 times. Every time the satellite accelerates its speed (slingshot effect). With each approach of its perigee around the Sun, the satellite seems accelerated also.

# PSP crossing Venus: (new Toutatis xyzv file step 3H)
# 03-10-2018 around 08h42 UTC
# 26-12-2019 around 18h12 UTC
# 11-07-2020 around 03h20 UTC
# 20-02-2021 around 20h00 UTC
# 16-10-2021 around 09h29 UTC
# 21-08-2023 around 11h55 UTC
# 06-11-2024 around 18h40 UTC

Currently, Vector's orbit on Horizons is the orbit planned by mission scientists. The satellite is not immune to a voluntary or accidental change of orbit by the encounter with another gravitational object.
Horizons should be regularly monitored to update the .xyzv file if necessary.

What will become of the satellite when approaching so close to the Sun, will it resist?
It will be interesting to follow this mission.

Congratulations to all the speakers. PSP = a live mission

Suisei launched 18-08-1985 by Jaxa (Japan space agency) to Halley's Comet
The structure is the same as Sakigake.

The orbit is not complete. If you find an other orbit ...

NASA’s OSIRIS-REx Begins Asteroid Operations Campaign

https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2018/nasas-o ... s-asteroid-operations-campaign

On Aug. 17, the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft obtained the first images of its target asteroid Bennu from a distance of 1.4 million miles (2.2 million km), or almost six times the distance between the Earth and Moon. This cropped set of five images was obtained by the PolyCam camera over the course of an hour for calibration purposes and in order to assist the mission’s navigation team with optical navigation efforts. Bennu is visible as a moving object against the stars in the constellation Serpens.

CORRECTION

Le nom du satellite Goes-P est erroné dans le fichier .ssc following the inversion of 2 letters

C'est GOES et non pas GEOS ( Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite )

good name :
"GOES-P:GOES-15 West:Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite 15" "Sol/Earth"

Thanks to Croc who to the eye everywhere
