Gironde, all of your models are suffering from a smoothing problem. The curved surfaces are all polygonal with clear faces, while they should be smooth. There's something wrong you're doing for the curved surfaces, with your modeler.

Hi Toutatis.
I think you need an ssc file with the usual data and the line
LongLat [ 63.31027 45.79527 0.040 ]
This one is for N1 launch site in Baikonour, you need to modify Long and Lat according to the real thing, without changing the height over the ground 0.040.
I think this should solve.
Bye.

Thanks very much Goofy... I will try... but next week I will make Atlas-5 Centaur... I am a big fan of NASA and SpaceX...

Cham,

I know that my models are not always on top. In fact, I am not a modeler. I have Blender and it allows me to edit the free models that I find on some sites. I learn little by little, among other things by removing parasitic objects. But the rest of the immensity of the parameters in Blender puzzles me. In fact I do not understand much. I do what I can. For some time, I leave in models the 3DS files so that someone can edit them because once in .cmod, we can not go back.

Gironde,

that's okay. Of course I understand. Modeling can be very complicated and learning to use a new modeler isn't easy. I know Blender is very complicated, so be patient. If you like 3D modeling, just practice, and practice, ...

Yes Cham

Yes, but I also do other things. I collaborate with Croc on LUT. I try scripts and propose to him. And right now, we must add all the latest models of spacecrafts and adapt the frames.

InSight is a robotic lander designed to study the interior of the planet Mars. The mission launched on 5 May 2018 at 11:05 UTC and is expected to land on the surface of Mars at Elysium Planitia on 26 November 2018,where it will deploy a seismometer and burrow a heat probe. It will also perform a radio science experiment to study the internal structure of Mars... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/InSight

InSight is a robotic lander
The name is a backronym for Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport.

In the screenshot InSight 2 hours before landing on Mars.

The probe is based on the Phoenix landing probe design.

Thanks Croc... I also have the parts of the InSight lander model in (.mesh)... but I will try to make the model for Celestia when the real spacecraft will reach the Mars and we get a new data from NASA...
