mjoubert, You publish the source code of your Celestia? Or send in PM. Maybe they will be very useful for Celestia 1.7.0

Of course we want to publish !

We need a valid/active svn address. Send me a PM, we can talk about this.

Alexell,
There's really no urgency at all to transform the links. (It only affects the old posts ... and they're not going anywhere, are they?)
Also, before going down the external text-editor route, it might be worth checking with Selden if he's aware of any phpBB admin tools for applying global edits.
ie. There may even be a way to do tasks like this without doing a dump and taking the forum down.

BTW, a couple of questions about this new version of phpBB.
1. What are the -/+ buttons on each post ? Are these "dislike/like" buttons?
2. IIRC, there used to be something like a "quote-post" button, as well as a "reply" button. Have you decided to disable this?

Yes.

Quote whole post was never comfortable. In this forum it was better to select the desired text and press "Quote" (see the screenshot.).

FANTASTIC NEWS

Post #26by DomeClub » 12.08.2016, 21:11

How good to see the return of Celestia forums and (hopefully) the revival and continued growth of this E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T planetarium programme!

I own and operate my own mobile planetarium business and Celestia is just as important to me as Stellarium and my catalogue of fulldome (360°) films.

I use Celestia ver 1.4.1 adapted for spherical mirror projection. This version was commissioned by Discovery Dome many years ago and it is available free to its customers.

Of course 1.4.1 is an older version with limitations (and a few bugs). It would be wonderful if an official spherical mirror projection option was incorporated into Celestia in the future. This would make Celestia of great value and interest to HUNDREDS of small digital dome users around the world.

Congratulations and very well done to all the developers and contributors who have made Celestia what it is today - and may it continue to grown in the future.

I'm not a programmer, but would love to help where I can.

eafbsd, I'm just a person who likes to Celestia and does not want her to die. I'm also a bit of a programmer and sound producer.

@Don.Edwards above #7 says "Well, who says the dead can't be resurrected." so true ! ( in more ways than one in some cases  !! )
Come to think of it -- I dont actually have a Celestia on this computer any more, so I must rectify that pdq,

Some names I recognize and some new to me, Hello To All :hi:

Well done Alexell

Wow. I found this while searching for an add-on I've mostly lost. I had given up hope at ever seeing the forums... Anyways, I'd love to help with updating the planet catalogues for a new version of Celestia.

Fantastic to see Celestia alive! Used it years and years ago and I was looking to install it again. Lost everything I had in the past and happened to come across this forum after searching the net to see what content was still floating around for Celestia. To find life here...awesome!

It is really great ! Good job!
Does anybody think about port Celestia for Android? Is it possible?
I think it could be a great chance to spread Celestia not only for hotheads.

Best Regards
