From the GUI Lua Edu Tools v1.2 beta 9 to Lua Universal Tools v5.2
3D-Space Simulator Celestia - surprising program with the translation into 28 languages.
Frank Gregorio wrote good Celestia User's Guide (in English)
which has been translated more into 7 language, including at Russian.
Programme management is carried out through the OSD menus, but access to most commands is 3 steps. It's slow.
Quick access is carried using the keyboard commands.
List of the main keyboard commands listed below in an attachment
Attached is a list of commands 128, of which 112 - keyboard commands.
More visually keyboard commands are graphically depicted in the following diagram:
The illustration shows a keyboard on which the marked keyboard commands:
green label - commands by use of 1 key
yellow label - commands using Ctrl + key
blue label - commands using Shift + key
purple label - commands using Alt + key
red label - a reserve for the teams using the 1 key
Total on the keyboard (no red marks) marked 145 keyboard commands (including duplicate) !!!
Novice users Celestia discourages so many teams. How it all remember?

From Celestia User manual for version 1.6.1. (Sergey Leonov Russian translation, a.k.a Leserg. 2010)
In 2007, Vincent Giangiulio created for Celestia interesting addition - Lua Edu Tools.
Lua Edu Tools has been developed primarily for use in educational institutions
(Schools, colleges, universities) and was intended to facilitate the user's work with the program Celestia
and at the same time it is a tool, based on which you can quickly organize educational sessions
for whatever the theme "Astronomy" subject.
Over time, this addition to Celestia quickly gained popularity
and among ordinary users, as additional features attached program, which were absent in the official version.
Supplement is a graphical program Celestia management interface
which consists of the following components:
- date / time, time adjustment (acceleration, deceleration);
- catalog of the solar system with the classification of objects by type (planets, moons, asteroids, etc.);
- adjustment of the scattered light;
- adjust the luminosity of galaxies;
- navigation buttons;
- setting viewing options;
- adjustable FOV (angle);
- the mapping of the asteroid belt;
- selection panel extensions (add-ons);
- overlay panel with informational text;
- panel overlay with the image;
- Planetarium / Navigation mode;
- additional direction control button and move the motion;
- zoom function (intended for educational purposes and displays the solar system to scale);
- Distance markers:
- square marker distance, in the observer plane is centered on the screen;
- round distance marker is located in the orbital plane (the ecliptic plane) with respect to the selected object;
- Compass display (you can change its position on the screen, clicking the button):
- Longitude / Latitude and Azimuth / Direct declination (mouse click to change);
- Switching the planetarium / Navigation.

From Celestia User manual for version 1.6.1. (Sergey Leonov Russian translation, a.k.a Leserg. 2010)
Joёl (aka Jogad) - author maneuvering tools Cockpits V 2.6 / V 3D-1
This is a plug-in for both Vincent's Lua_plug-ins and Lua Edu Tools, http://celestiaproject.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=134285#p134285
You can even use this plug-in with Lua Edu Tools when the Lua Edu Tools toolbox is hidden.
The manoeuvre tool works fine with the multipanel cockpit tool but is independent of it.
You can use it even if you have no cockpit.
Manoeuvre tool commands:
A, B, C : 3 groups of arrows to perform rotations and displacements.
A : rotation arrows. These arrows initiate a rotation (yaw, pitch and roll).
By default, the rotation is 90°. If you click several times on the same arrow, the rotations are added. e. g. if you click quickly 4 times, the rotation is 360° without a stop between the rotations.
The center button stops the rotation. clicking again on this button resumes the required rotation.
B, C ) displacements. You can move in only one direction at a time. i.e. you can't move simultaneously forward and to the right or upward and to the left.
By cons, you can perform a rotation and a displacement at the same time.
The red buttons stop the displacement (whatever the direction).
Pressing again one of these red buttons resumes the displacement.
By default the required distance is not limited.
The movement is relative to the current view, not necessarily the direction of the spaceship.
As for the [w] key, the initial speed is determined by the distance of the reference object.
Orange arrows: forward and backward movements
Blue arrows: left, right, up and down movements.
Red octagons: stop/resume movement
For details, see the attachment Guide.
Lua Edu Tools allows you to expand and add new functions and commands.
For teachers and teachers is a huge opportunity to create entertaining lessons on astronomy and
interesting trips as part of the program Celestia.
There is also the option to enable the display of the cockpit,
simulating dashboard NASA space shuttle with a view through the front window.
This creates a complete environment that you are in the board the spacecraft, and gives the user an unforgettable
experience when traveling through the universe Celestia.

I really liked the graphical interface Lua Edu Tools Vincent Giangiulio, who replaced the set of keyboard commands.
However many keyboard commands, such as space flight control commands are not included in the graphical interface.
I had an idea to upgrade this application to include tools for maneuvering space Joёl (aka Jogad).
Upgraded GUI I called Lua Universal Tools v1.0 (abbreviated as LUT-1).
It consists of a fixed part and a movable control console. The tool is activated with the [shift-X] key.
