Celestia for Ultimate Unwrap 3D

Just letting everyone know that we wrote a Celestia plugin for Ultimate Unwrap 3D.
If you don't know, Ultimate Unwrap 3D is a UV mapping/3D modelling app, much like Milkshape 3D or Anim8or.

Our Celestia plugin works much like the Celestia plugin for Anim8or, except ours is a bit more flexible in terms of export options.
It exports directly to a single ASCII CMOD file, so you can edit the material properties if you wish.

Geometry, materials, textures, UV coordinates, vertex colors, vertex normals, and tangents can be exported.
Tangents are automatically calculated for models that require bump/normal mapping. Our plugin also supports diffuse, specular, and normal texture maps.

This plugin is for Celestia users who also happen to be Ultimate Unwrap 3D users, but anyone can use it if they want.

When the GPL'ed Blender 2.49b python plugin will do the same .

please port it to OSX and Red Hat RHEL 6.4 linux

Thanks for your opinion.

By all means, use Blender. Use 3dsmax. Use Maya. Use whatever favorite 3D modelling program at your disposable.
However, this annoucement is mainly for Celestia users who already use Ultimate Unwrap 3D.

BTW, most people use our program for its conversion capabilities. This outshines Blender, 3dsmax, and Maya put together.
So if you're tring to import custom models into Celestia, then we mostly likely have a plugin for that.

Thanks for the support!

Having more choices to create content for Celestia is always good thing in my opinion.
