Trying to use lesson 4E for some 3 Graders on Wednesday and a number of images are not loading (for example, the Asteroid Belt just shows a empty space where the image should be)
Using the ~ to see the log I see the following message:
Error opening image file extras/lua_edu_tools-b9/tools/.../locale/en/images/compass_en.png
That may or may not be related. I don't see any folders under 'tools'.
I tried updating the driver (AMD Radeon HD 6410D Graphics).
Any ideas which way to go would be a help. Thanks!

Re: Help with 4E
I've created the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Celestia161-ED\extras\lua_edu_tools-b9\locale\en\images and copied a compass.png and renamed it compass_en.png. I'm still not getting the images. Thoughts?

the English ( en ) folder is missing
Not quite true...
Because Lua_Edu_Tools are default written in English, there is NO need for a locale "en" directory.
There are also no subdirectories defined in the ..\extras\lua_edu_tools-b9\tools folder.
The English default used "compass.png" is in the ..\extras\lua_edu_tools-b9\images folder.
Only non-English locale languages that are supported by Lua_Edu_Tools, have an images directory in the
..\extras\lua_edu_tools-b9\locale\<countrycode>\ folder, containing the localized compass_<countrycode>.png file.
I'm wondering why PaulW's system is asking for "compass_en.png" ????
Also, the compass itself is only shown, when you are on the surface off an object.
The asteroidbelt on its turn is shown by clicking the link in paragraph 20 of Activity_4E
or by selecting it in the "Set Addon Visibility" option in the Toolkit.

Re: Help with 4E
I tried updating the driver from the AMD website. I had it AutoDetect and update. Still nothing...
Re: Help with 4E
And the different install directory didn't seem to help either.
Any other ideas? Either way, thanks for the help everyone!

Yes, I've been doing that. That's what is failing.
There are a TON of configuration options in the windows of the lua toolkit
Assuming that's where the problem is, I'm willing to try. Where can I find the config? I'm rarely on this site. I did this 3 years ago and didn't have these issue (different computer back then of course).
Re: Help with 4E
I sent Vincent (the creator of Lua Edu Tools) a PM about this but so far, no answer.
I can say that this is the first time anyone has had the issue with the compass image error message in the education distribution. I don't know why it is not working on your computer. Please note that to be displayed, there must be a file called "compassBox.lua" in the "tools" folder of lua_edu_tools-b9.
