Celestia 1.3.0pre4: Win File menu is missing several items

Post #1by selden » 25.03.2003, 20:29

The File menu of the Windows version of Celestia v1.3.0pre4 is missing several items. It now contains only the "Open Script" option. It no longer includes the items "Capture Picture", "Capture Movie" or "Exit".

I just noticed that Celestia v1.3.0pre3 has the same problem.
I dunno about the earlier prereleases, I've deleted them.

The file menus of v1.2.5 and v1.2.4 are OK.

System configuration:
256MB 2GHz P4, Windows NT4 SP6a;
32MB ATI Rage 128 Pro, OpenGL v1.2.1652

As a followup:

The File menu does contain all four items when Celestia is installed on my home system. There are a lot of differences between the two systems, so I dunno what might be causing the problem.

Home system configuration:
256MB, 500MHz Pentium 3, Windows XP Pro SP1;
128MB Nvidia GeForce4 Ti4200, Detonator v40.72, OpenGL 1.4.0

Another followup: more menu strangeness...

When I tried to add a "favorites" entry (for 1994 xm1) nothing was added to the "locations" menu, even though Favorites.cel was updated. Instead, the entry was added to the File menu.

This is on the system with the ATI RAGE 128 card.

This problem is not seen with Celestia v1.2.5.

It sounds like I screwed up the menu resource numbering when I added the new View menu. Should be an easy fix . . .

Chris,

Although, as I said, the menu bug is also seen in prerelease 3, which does not have a View menu. and the bug is not seen on my home system.
