Where is he porting them from?

I think that they came from SFCIII or BC.
And yours ?
I always get them from BC because the models are more detailed and they tend to come with higher resolution textures. I've had correspondence with the gentleman that created the 1701-F and 1701-G and he can be touchy about people porting his works. Make sure to tell your friend bdfd to get permission from him before uploading anything onto the motherlode using those ships.

I finally modified my Earth rings to better reflect Earth's roche limit:

earthrings7.jpg

Now that I've done that, I can do what I've been itchin' to do for a very long time:

Fungun was nice enough to make me a better aeroplane model and apply textures, after I posted in the Modelling section. My thanks and gratitude go to him. :)

Thank you, Fungun! :)

Strange, but cool. The gas giant's clouds appear to actually have texture. How did you do that?

ps: love your work.

You can do that by making normal maps out of the textures.

Wow. Imagine that for your nightly view...although, it wouldn't be very dark for nighttime!

fungun: I picked up the method from here-
http://www.solarvoyager.com/tutorials.asp?SID=750E519C10986BC514EE4E8634A54E782BF
It took a little time for me to get everything right, and it's still not 100% perfect (some seam issues I didn't show) but it's a nice alternative way to make some nice planet textures. Thanks.

I may have to put a solar system in there. It would make a beautiful night sky. :blue:

Yes those are screenshots from Celestia. I made Vulcan orange because that is how it looked in Enterprise.

Here is a screencap from the series...

Recreation of the Avatar Scene, with the pandorafied version of Belle Hades as the main feature. The gas giant, named Belle Keres, has it's own great storm, which is partially hidden by high altitude bands of clouds.

Why not Reiko and the debates are open.
But in the last Star Trek Movie of JJ abrams in 2009, Vulcan is not orange and I think it's more darky and so real.

Yes it looked more brown and dark in the 2009 movie and in the original series it had a huge icecap. I suppose it's a matter of preference and in my case I prefer the Enterprise interpretation mainly because it was my favorite series. :blue:

Thanks! :)

I must admit it is a Jupiter texture re-color... It was originally intended for use on Jupiter itself, after I made that post last year in this thread depicting Earth as a moon of Jupiter. However, while I liked the recolor, I liked Jupiter's original colors better, so I saved the texture for later use, and eventually wound up using it for Belle Keres. :)

If you look carefully, you can see portions that kind of retain some of the original colors. I kept those portions because they blended in well and I thought they added a nice touch. :)

I downloaded the new Milky Way addon from the Motherlode, inflated the sphere's radius like Cham suggested in the thread about the addon, and came up with a nice looking view in Delta Trianguli.

bh_mw.jpg

I booted up Celestia for the first time of the day the other day, and came across an interesting eclipse occurring in real time, with Tartarus eclipsing Belle Hades' two suns right after the suns themselves finished their own eclipse.

I made a screenshot specifically for a new page on my website, but I thought It looked nice, so I figured I'd post it here too.

Yes, here is the bdfd's version finished this evening.
The warp nacelles of NX-05 alias Atlantis are blue like 99.9% of Star Trek vessels.

NX05 Atlantis.jpg

I left the NX-05 nacelles more white because I felt there should be a difference since it's a warp 7 ship. :)

Anyways, here is a more detailed NV-01 Intrepid warp 3 ship.
the textures need tweaking but it's almost finished. :blue:
