Anyone willing to improve a model?

Post #1by PlutonianEmpire » 16.10.2011, 06:32

Remember the airplane pic I posted in the Screenshots thread?

I found the model here: http://www-roc.inria.fr/gamma/download/ ... st_page=56

It came with no textures, and with a surprising lack of detail, along with big holes in the belly where the landing gears should be, or at least, where it should be smooth since the plane is in flight mode.

I was wondering if anyone would like to improve the model for me? Bring it up to Celestia's standards, so to speak, as well as add textures and detail.

If you don't know where to find photos of this particular jet, check out airliners.net , it has nearly 1.9 million aeroplane pictures, total (beware of the ones that say "cargo" or otherwise have a capital letter "F" right after the model numbers indicating it is a cargo plane. Avoid them, for the purposes of this Celestia model, which is that of a Boeing 747-400.)

If anyone's interested, PM me, or e-mail me, and I'll send you the setup decor (textures) for the plane (or I'll otherwise post it here) that I'd like to see on the plane, as well as two screenshots from a flight simulator. :)

Thank you for your time. :)

Hi Plutonian, you can find a 747 here:
http://archive3d.net/?a=download&id=15792 (that is in the third page of aircrafts)

for the first page about aircraft: http://archive3d.net/?category=29&page=1

the model bank is on the right.
Never at rest.

I checked, and they didn't have what I was looking for.

Sorry.... :(
