Now that there's a possible use for it, has the implementation of the Y spectral type been considered?

Well that's going to be interesting, to do this we're going to need to remap the spectral type representation a bit because we've run out of hexadecimal digits for the "normal" stars sequence.Hungry4info wrote:Now that there's a possible use for it, has the implementation of the Y spectral type been considered?
Of course these things are so cold they are only visible by reflected light and we don't support that for stars either. This would have other applications beyond brown dwarfs, e.g. reflection effects in close binary stars.

There's also the lonely planets issue. Currently, there's no way to place a rogue planet somewhere in Celestia's space (or even a spacecraft). We need more "special" classes in Celestia.
