Fixed some textures, made to be more crossplatform friendly, replaced the OLD Starbase G-6 with the new Starbase model from Raul Mamoru, and added different ships inside.

Those look really nice. What do you use to get these kind of results?

Re: Beta Veldonna/Betazed updated
As far as......
The models, the textures, the atmospheres, the lighting, the coding ???
Your question is alittle vague.
Thanks for the compliment though.

Re: Beta Veldonna/Betazed updated
Most non-earthlike textures are kitbashes of exsisting textures from the internet or the Motherload.
Most of my earth-like planets are made by cloning and coloring from a large earth texture map.
For the atmospheres, I use the atmosphere generator I found on the forum or the internet. Can't remember now and there is no readme file with it.
For the lighting, if you mean on the model, you have to apply an emissive (illumination) map before you convert it to cmod. If you're talking about the planet, use a specular map and the specular settings in your scc file.
Does this answer your questions.
Thanks,
Tim

unfortunately true, i keep seeing the same maps ( bad ones also) over and over and over again and again. Most non-earthlike textures are kitbashes of exsisting textures from the internet or the Motherload.
quality VS quantity - an idea .

Re: Beta Veldonna/Betazed updated
I could provided many links about The "Star Charts" many flaws, but I am just to busy to bother.
There are alot of other places to research Star Trek than just going by the "Strar Charts" book.
I use many sources, I wish others would too!
Starbase G-6 is there because of these links--
http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Starbase_G-6
http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Starbase_G-6
http://www.startrek.com/database_article/betazed
This is for Starbase 211
http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Starbase_211
http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Starbase_211
These are canon sources.
Star Charts is ok, "IF" I cannot find a precise answer elsewhere.
I only use it as a last resort for star system placements.
Of course one could also go by this map--
http://www.stdimension.org/int/Cartography/Atlas.htm
ps- by the first link, it should by the Sigma 3 system, but I don't see that on your map.
pps- um, you should also be careful about posting copywrited stuff.

Well, JTK, it is what it is........
It's fiction.
It's interpretation.
