We have some problems with uploads to the Celestia Motherlode after the migration
of Ibiblio's servers to the UNC at Chapel Hill (where the Motherlode is hosted).
1. The ftp upload was broken for approx. 14 days. Maybe the ftp upload still do not
work with all ftp-programs. While I was able to upload files via ftp, some others
did not have success while using FileZilla.
2. The upload form (where the authors do describe their add-ons) respectively the
mailsystem at Ibiblio does not send notifications with the description to the
Motherload team. So we will not get any information about the uploads and we can
not add new add-ons to the catalog right now.
I hope we or Ibiblio can fix this soon and we apologize for these circumstances.

At CelestialMatters (Ibiblio) I have the same problem.
Here is a very recent [webgroup] mail by Cedric that is relevant (besides John Reuning's reply to your previous query):

all the FTP URLs on our web page are broken. After a bit of digging, it
appears the FTP daemon is no longer accepting passive mode requests.
This effectively breaks ftp:// URLs because many (most? all??) browsers
use passive mode by default.
Is this a known issue, and if so is anybody looking into it?
Thx,

Re: Uploads to Celestia Motherlode
The errors still persists.
So please do not upload add-ons since we are not aware of your uploads
and we do not get information and a description about your add-on.
Please be patient until we and Ibiblio have fixed this. Well, this may take a
while but I will inform you when everything is fine again.
Thanks for your understanding.

What are you trying to do? Blame me?
I am not responsible for Ibiblio's migration and the errors that occured
and still persists. Obviously there are still some loose ends to tie.
-Copy that?
Ask Bertrand what happened and what I did write and explain to him
twice if you know him so well.
-Over and out.

P.S.: Do you want my job at the Motherlode?

Re: Uploads to Celestia Motherlode
We did fix the notification issue with the upload form (where you do describe your add-on).
You can upload your add-on (< 8 MB) via the HTML option again (or you can describe your
add-on after you did successfully upload via FTP).
Unfortunately the FTP upload (for add-ons > 8 MB) still not work properly with all FTP-clients
in passive mode (e.g. FileZilla does not work). If you have problems please try another FTP-client.
Please tell us in this thread what FTP-clients you are using and what FTP-client did or did not
work and what mode (active or passive) you did set.
WS_FTP seems to work (active mode).
Edit: I can upload flawlessly with WinSCP (V4.3.2) with active mode (passive mode fails).

Re: Uploads to Celestia Motherlode
Uploading files via FTP (passive and active mode) should work again!
We will do a few tests today but you can try it also.
Thanks for your patience.
