I have been useing celestia for a while on another computer and when I when to put it on this one I am having problems like it changes my options when ever I start it up (one time it will show orbit then it will show constelations) it also has this weird screen glitch. using windows 7 professional celestia 1.6.0 and XFX - ATI RADEON HD 4650 1GB DDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card

Hi, WDJ. What is the screen glitch you are referring to? It looks like a normal Celestia window to me.

Celestia "remembers" several settings from one session to the following one. Among them are orbits, labels, clouds... The setting you have at the moment you exit Celestia will be in effect next time.

no it doesn't save setting they change every time I start and the display screen has been move about a quarter of an inch up so you can't see the entire object title and date and time

Oops! I had not realized that. I'm sorry. Did you update your graphics drivers recently? Have you tried reinstalling Celestia? Just guessing, though.

the driver is the one off the disk it came with. I reintalled and it now saves settings properly but the screen is still weird

wdj,

It isn't clear what you mean by "reinstalled it". Do you mean that you reinstalled the copy that was on the disk, or that you downloaded a copy of the newest driver from ATI/AMD and installed that? The latter is what you need to do. See http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
