Hi all,
I have been trying to create a movie using Celestia for some space special effects, which is going well. However I do have one slight problem. When I go to capture movie, I get the save dialogue box open up but I am unable to select what the output file is encoded into.
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 - Lucid Lynx and the only option I get is OGG. It is fine if I watch the file back on the machine however I am unable to load the footage into any Video editor I have installed on that machine.
I was hoping that someone maybe able to tell me how to change the encoder.
Cheers

Re: Video Codec help
Avi theora is the only encoder Celestia has.
An option would be to transcode it afterwards to another format.
Or using a screenrecorder that encodes with many formats.
What video editor do you have installed?
If they use Gstreamer, you can add an avi ogg decoder to your Gstreamer codecs.
