desesperately trying to send a PM

Hello,

This morning I tried to send a PM , but when I Clicked on the submit button, an all white screen appeared, and nothing else.
I tried several times and I have no way to kwnow if the message was send or not.

I just now sent a message from an unprivileged test account to my admin account ( selden ) and it was sent and received OK.

However, the status page generated by phpbb to the sender that the message was sent was blank.

I also got a blank page when trying to use one of the admin functions while investigating, although the ones I usually use don't have that problem.

Hopefully Chris will be able to locate related error messages in the phpbb log file. I don't have access to that log.

A workaround that works for me is to click on the Web browser's "page redraw" button.
With firefox it's the blue circular arrow at the upper left.

Apparently there is some glitch in the page drawing code.

I tried your workaround of refreshing the web page (with IE8) by sending a message to myself but that did not work for me.
I even created a new user (this is redmoon) to send a message to jogad but I have not received anything.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to the error log files. Only ChrisL does. I think he may be off in the mountains for the weekend. Hopefully he'll be able to investigate when he gets back.

that seems to be something spurious. I had also some trouble on the weekend with PMs, but only to certain persons, while others worked fine.

So, if anyone still encounters this problem a PM to the Admins would be nice (if it works) with the name who you wanted to write.
Perhaps this will help to find the source of the problem.
