Another Bug

Post #1by BobHegwood » 18.10.2009, 13:35

Seems as if I have found another small bug in the system...

If I add the modified version of Helene posted by Fenerit, see the link HERE,
I find that it (Helene) is no longer listed as a moon of Saturn when you right-click on Saturn
and try to find Helene.

After some investigation, I found that the declarative "Class "minormoon" is the problem.
If I remove this declarative from Fenerit's add-on SSC file, then the moon shows up under
Saturn as it should.

Please note that Helene remains listed in the Solar System Browser where it should be,
but that it does not show up as a moon when Saturn is right-clicked.

After I remove the "Class "minormoon" declarative from Fenerit's SSC file which
modify's Helene, all is well again.

Now, I really do not know if this is a bug, or if Fenerit simply should have not used
the appropriate directive in the SSC file. At any rate, just thought I'd post for
everyone's information here...

Just FYI... And thanks very much for the add-on Fenerit. I like it very much. :)

Thanks, Brain-Dead

minormoon and dwarfplanet were removed from showing ,and this is supposed to be changed into something in version 2.0 . I will need to refresh my memory on this, but i do not think it is a bug .

Okay, thanks...
Just put it out here for everyone's information.
Frustrated me for a while.

Having read here:
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Celestia/SSC_File#Modify_.22object_name.22_.22object_path.22_.7B_...parameters..._.7D

I do not have touched the Class directive. Sincerly, I do not taken care to control the righ click behaviour...

Not quite sure what you are trying to tell me my friend, but the solution I provided above works fine now.
Again, I just posted for information.

Thanks a lot, Brain-Dead

Hi Bob,
Fenerit hasn't changed anything regarding Helene, it is a minormoon according to the minormoons datafile and therefore would not appear when right clicking on Saturn

Okay, I think I understand this now, but I have again modified the moon so that it does show up under the
righ-click now. I have adjust ALL of my moons so that they ALL show up under a right-click and they ALL show up under the
Solar System Browser too.

This is what I want on my installation, and it works now, so I'm happy.
When I right-click on Jupiter, for example, I see all 63 moons available now. :D

Thanks, Brain-Dead
