Problem with Yamato model

Post #1by Marcelo_RJ » 08.08.2009, 19:15

Hello everybody,

I'm new to this forum, and I have a problem that's bothering me for some time (a few months to be more precise).

I'm an old fan of the Star Blazers / Yamato anime and I've found a model of the Yamato ship in MAX format.

When I open the file in 3DStudio Max, the model is rendered flawlessly, but if I try to convert it to 3DS the model is imported to Celestia as a "mess" of parts.

I'm not a heavy user of 3DMax, so any help will be very apreciated.

Here's the place where I've found the model:

http://www.lucas.gepinfo.it/index.php?p ... hip-Yamato

And I asked the model creator for permission to use the model, ok?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. sorry for the bad english... ;)

Send me the 3ds file, not the max file.
I'll see if I can fix it.

Hello Tim,

I've sent you an e-mail with the 3DS file attached.
Thanks in advance for your help.
