Sorry, just found another very annoying bug in the final version of 1.6.0...
As I like to bookmark my collection of nebulae, I noticed this problem almost
immediately. You can bookmark the location in space and - as long as you don't
exit Celestia - the bookmarks work fine.
When you close Celestia, and then re-open the program, you will find that all
of your saved bookmarks have now disappeared. Can anyone confirm please?
Thanks, Brain-Dead

Re: Bookmarks
Bob,
This is almost certainly a configuration problem with your install, not a bug in Celestia.
Have you modified celestia.cfg file at all?
I suspect your FavoritesFile may be pointing to an inaccessible location (or you don't have permissions for the folder).
(Also, check the read-only status of favorites.cel)

Re: Bookmarks
Thanks Chuft...
Will have a look at it. Seems that I always do things differently and that may
cause me problems. That's okay though. Still learning about this marvelous
application after 5 years.

Re: Bookmarks
Well that's interesting...
Upon further investigation, the celestia.cfg file looks fine.
I can't find a favorites.cel file anywhere though.
Could this be my problem? If so, where can I find one?
Looked at the SourceForge repository site, but haven't been able to find one yet.
Thanks, Brain-Dead

Re: Bookmarks
Okay, I got it working now...
Had to run Celestia as the administrator in order to (I suppose) allow
the system to save the bookmarks. Never had to do this before, but
Vista has also just been updated.
Thanks *very* much for the tips Chuft. Much appreciated.
Thanks again, Brain-Dead
