Still winter time here in Ohio.

Wow. You know we are at 53 degrees northern latitude! Yet it's still a bit cool, but this morning was the first day in the year we had breakfast in the garden (with coats ON though)... South, in Heidelberg, where our daughter lives, they already have up to 20 degrees centigrade and plenty of sunshine.

No doubt, right?
Since Reiko surely is the prettiest "blue crocus" in the lot...

Re: Spring in Hamburg
Hello my dear old friend Fridger! I popped in here and saw the beautiful flowers in the pic and it prompted me to post...they are gorgeous, and the sunshine would be welcomed here...its been a very gloomy and cold day here...mid April and Im still waiting for a decent spring! Take care my friend....

Oh how nice, the Lady's back from another dimension!
Here is your special "Welcome", remember?
How have you been?? Unfortunately Rass' seems to also have retreated again into another dimension? How is happiness and "all that"? We had a great Easter time with this amazing spring weather that still persists without a single cloud at the sky since several weeks.
Don't miss the escalation of "Hamburg spring" in my other thread: "Spring Explosion in Hamburg"!
Take care as well and hoping that you might call by a little more frequently,
Fridger

Re: Spring in Hamburg
oh yes, I remember that welcome! My unicorn and I thank you. Im trying very hard to persuade Rass from that other dimension to spend a lil bit of time here with old friends...maybe he'll pop in here soon. Happiness and "all that" is wonderful!

Just to let you know about MY "persistent" relationship there Good Doctor...
My wife (Phyllis) died in her sleep on September 17th, 2008, and I miss her greatly.
But, I don't think I have ever told you my "wife story."
We married each other twice, and never wanted to get married either time.
Although I loved her dearly (and still do) there was no way I ever liked her.
The thing is that she never liked me either. But, we both LOVE each other still.
I married her the first time because she got pregnant with my only child.
After we had divorced after about 7 years, we married each other once
again because the Ohio Bureau of Child Support was going to put us BOTH
in jail for NOT using their services. I paid my wife child support every week
with cash in hand, and apparently they didn't like the fact that they weren't
getting a cut.
Therfore, and even though we still didn't like each other, we both said
"To Hell with the Bureau of Child Support," and we got married again.
So, I spent a grand total of 35 years with my lovely old broad wife.
God Rest Her Soul, and I still miss her deeply.
Thanks, Brain-Dead

Yes Bob,
I suppose I was the first one of this community, to express my deep condolence to you when it had happended...After such a long time, loosing the loved partner is really like loosing half of oneself...

This is so sad and lovely at the same time!

Yes, I do remember, and I appreciated very much your comments.
But that was not my point here...
I was trying to impress upon you the fact that - even though we never LIKED each other -
we still had a "persistent" relationship.

Although I am still a real jerk when it comes to technology,
I thought that you might get a kick out of my current
wife's picture.
Sorry for the quality, but you'll get the idea I think.
EDIT:
This framed beauty sits in my living room, and I have
a chat with Phyllis every day...
By the way, the text in the picture reads:
"Always (and Forever) My Better Half!"

Re: Spring in Hamburg
Bob,
mourning is an important act and should not be suppressed in any way. Everyone has one's very personal way of passing through this essential stage, as your image illustrates.
Usually, life starts appearing from a somewhat different perspective again about one year later.

Bob,
your definition of "liking" or better "NOT liking" was not the average one for sure

Well, as you should know by now Good Doctor, I am
anything but average, or normal.
At any rate, your comments, as always, are much appreciated.
