Eclipse shadows ... rendering the umbra and penumbra

Is there a plugin or a compile option to allow the umbra and penumbra of eclipse shadows to be highlighted something like you see in the attached mockup?

I know the mock up looks terrible (the umbra is too big? not drawn at the right angle? etc ...), but I'm just trying to get the idea across in case someone has thought of how to do something like this.

I don't think so but indeed showing in a way or another the cone shadow would be interesting...
