UniformRotation block in .stc files

Post #1by ajtribick » 15.02.2009, 20:59

Quick question here which relates to an upcoming add-on I'm working on, was the UniformRotation{} block allowed in .stc files in the 1.5.x versions, or is it a new feature in 1.6.0? Note I am specifically asking about .stc files, not .ssc.

The changes for STC and SSC files for v1.6 are listed in the WikiBook at
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Celestia/160Files

But the most reliable test is to actually try it.
Multiple versions of Celestia happily cohabitate under Windows.
It should be possible under Linux and MacOS, too, but i'm not sure what procedure to use to do the installs for them.

Yes, UniformRotation has been supported in .stc files since version 1.5.0. Any rotation model may be used in both .stc files and .ssc files, so you could assign a SpiceRotation for the Sun if you wanted.
