Andrea:

can you please inform me of the original WAV characteristics, so I'll be able to (partly) restore the sound quality, if possible, transforming MP3 back to WAV
The wav files were transposed from the original MP3 at a 32 bit rate of 48000 Hz. Basically, I simply opened the MP3 file from youtube using free "Audacity" software, did some editing, and saved it as a WAV in the default rate that Audacity uses (48000). It plays perfectly.

Good editing!!!

Frank

Thank you Frank, I've already obtained the MP3 file, now I'm going going to convert to WAV using your parameters.
I'll inform on results.
Bye

Wow...very cool..my little guy is just nuts about celestia so anything that keeps him interested is cool.

Thank you very much from a Trek fan too.

Frank, now I have the WAV file with exactly the same length of your original and, most important, working flawlessly in your addon. :P
Thanks a lot once again.

Frank. while playing with both your addon and the original movie, I decided to prepare an image that perhaps you can use in your addon, as I'll do in my script.
It's the StarTrek screen, straight from the movie, with the only addiction of a couple green lights, could be used e.g. when crossing close the huge Starbase 2. 8)
If you like it, use it freely.
BTW, my original is a 2k.png due to my screen setting at 1680x1050 pixel, but if you need it I can easily resize it.
Bye

I'm glad you and your son are enjoying it. :D

Andrea:

If I understand correctly, you have an overlay texture of the Enterprise bridge viewscreen with a transparent window that could be used with the Lua overlay tools to display in Celestia, with the scene visible beyond the window. If true, I definitely want it. I am beginning work on an Enterprise script with music of the fly-through of the V'ger cloud from the first movie. I would love a transparent overlay.

Could you email me the file in two sizes ... 1600 x 1050, and 1280 x 1024? I don't seem to have the ability to resize transparent png images without losing the transparency.

My email is fsgregs@comcast.net

Yes, Frank you understood correctly.
My Tactic Screen (if I remember well Cpt. Kirk was naming it this way) has the transparent window, through which we can show what we want, just like the many cockpits we use in our lessons.
The two resized png images are just now in your email INBOX. :P
Enjoy, and advise me if something goes wrong.
BTW, the starting scenes with Klingon's three Byrds of Prey entering V'ger cloud and the music are absolutely beautiful and well coupled, so I cannot wait to see it. 8)
Bye

Reiko, if you like to use it, I'll be very happy to prepare one for your screen resolution. :P
I have already the ones at 1600 x 1050, and 1280 x 1024.
Inform me about that and PM me your email address for shipping.
Bye soon

HI Everyone:

I have made a high resolution 10 minute video with music of the entire add-on. The file can be downloaded and viewed from my website here: http://fsgregs.startlogic.com/Public_Files/Enterprise1.wmv. It is 47 MB.

I have also put a streaming copy of it on YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NoBfykPg70

Enjoy

Frank
