Doug Gann's lem model

A while ago I downloaded Doug's model from Avalon's site and was really impressed with it. It came on a lunar surface 'base' and I thought it would be difficult to get this fine model into Celestia. I managed to catch up with him just before Christmas and explained the problem and what I wanted it for. He was really pleased that I'd taken the trouble and said he would help, but it was a while ago he made it and wasn't sure if he still had the meshes. Anyway I've pressed on and came up with these...

This would go really nice with jroberts excellent Apollo CSM maybe a few feet apart, if someone could do the orbital data, I'm not good at that.

Get them here at:

Hello all...
Here's a new coloured version of Doug's model:

Also on the zip is an ascent stage only model and a shuttle model with doors open.

Hi bh

I worked a little bit with the lander model. I removed some (conversion) bugs and modified the materials and build a new alu and gold texture. The best is i found a way to use the textures in celestia (lock at my other post '3DS models in Celestia'). Now this is the result. :D

If you want i can also build a launched version :?:

I would mail all to you but i don't know your email (Send a pm to me).

Bye Jens

I've made the model, textures, and .ssc file available one shatters.net:

Thanks Jens!
