Celestia now uses Subversion

Celestia has now switched to using Subversion (SVN) for source code control. The CVS repository still exists, but no new changes will be committed there. Anyone working on Celestia or interested in using the latest version must use SVN.

The Subversion repository is hosted on SourceForge:

http://sourceforge.net/svn/?group_id=21302

If you use the command line version of SVN, you can check out the code using the following command:

svn co https://celestia.svn.sourceforge.net/sv ... stia/trunk celestia

Note that this will only get the main Celestia branch, which is almost certainly all that you want.

Windows users may want to consider getting TortoiseSVN, a shell extension that makes most SVN commands available in Windows Explorer. If anyone has recommendations for other GUI interfaces for SVN, please post them in this thread.

That's OK--the celestia-cvs mailing list is still used for SVN commit notices.
