What kind of graphics card do I need to see Scatering?
I currently use an Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family. My render path is set to OpenGL 2.0, but I do not see any atmospheric scattering effects on Earth, Titan, or Mars. Should I update my drivers or get a new card? If so, what kind of card do you recomend? My motherboard is a micro-ATX Asus (can't remember anything else).

You should be able to see Rayleigh and Mie scattering with OpenGL 2 support.
Double check that you've got Show Atmosphere enabled in Celestia's Render/View Options menu. The next thing to try is to update the drivers, since that's free.
Nvidia cards tend to have better OpenGL support than ATI/AMD cards.
7000 series cards should work fine. 8000 or better would be more "future proof".
You don't need a top-of-the-line card. Entry level cards will show all of Celestia's eye candy but more expensive cards are faster.

Thanks. I have made sure on several occasions that the atmospheres are rendering. When I was switching render paths I did so on the boundry of the atmosphere to notice dany changes. I'll grab an update for the drivers and see if that works. Thanks again!

All the drivers I've found and downloaded (the computer I have celestia on does not have an internet connection, so I had to download the drivers to a thumbdrive and then install them from said thumbdrive) have not been able to install, citing that they were "not validated for this computer". Then wanting to go the new graphics card route, I opened my case to see what I could put in. Turns out, I have no PCIe slots, which most cards nowadays need. Since I can't update my OpenGL 2.0 or install a PCIe graphics card, I need to now a) get a PCI card, or b) get a new motherboard and/or computer. Are there any good PCI graphics cards you know of that can render scattering effects?
