John van Vliet's Venus VT

I'm not sure if this is the right place to mention this, but he gives no contact info so I'm not sure where else to put it, and this may just be me.
When I use his VT for Venus combined with his Normal Map, the texture looks VERY odd. It looks blurred as if the textures are misaligned. Sure enough opening two corresponding textures (the normal and regular) they appear to be shifted by one pixel in each direction from each other. Is there anyway to fix this inside a Celestia config file or contact him directly?

I did this and things worse.
Now the light part of Venus looks like a shadow of some sort...

I'm going to recant what I said. I'm not quite sure what I was meaning. I think what I was meaning is that something looks... disturbing? when you look at certain areas when they are just lit from edge on. They look odd and unatural so I was thinking they were misplaced by a bit and the low parts were being lit as if they were high parts. Here is an example of that:
cel://Follow/Sol:Venus/2008-10-10T18:47 ... =326&ver=2
Another is the effect you get when the sun is at veritcle and wou watch it pass by at 10,000x speed and all the features seem to jump sideways.
Like this just unpause:

I WON?T DO THIS.
The Level 5 Textures and Normal Maps are TOO BIG,reaching more than 2 GB,both.I don?t have so much free space!

Then why don't you do us all a favor and quit your constant griping about add-ons?
If you are not willing to investigate a problem when the author himself is trying to
help you, then why should anyone offer any help?

The problem is not that I?m not using Level 5.Because the blurred image should vanish if I am at a certain distance, but this simply don?t happen.I will wait for the DDS version, that should be smaller...

All this discussion has made me DL the texture to see what the big deal is. I'm very satisfied with how it looks. Excellent work John.

My error...I was using the 4k texture of Andrea as a base texture in Celestia 1.5.0 SVN 4449 and trying to combine with your level 4 Normal Map.
