Hi to all.
I was asking me if should be possible to create, for the future celestia versions, a minimal base package and a list of official add-on collected from the various people that are involved?
For a series of reasons like size and interest, I think that including these add-on in the base package probably won't be an ideal solution.
For "official" I mean add-ons regarding real and truly expansions, tested and approved directly by the development team. These official add-on should be downloadable directly from the official web-site.
I think that not so far this topic will be a must because the number of 3rd party add-on is increasing and the risk of mixing real and accurate with fictional elements is raising.
This mechanism should become also a rewarding system for the very good work that a lot of people is doing.
What do you think about?
