I have downloaded Celestia 1.5.1 and it works perfectly.
After that,I have downloaded Celestia 1.5.1-ED,the Educational Base package and some activities.I followed exactly the installation instructions(Celestia 1.5.1-ED first,Educational Base second without opening and Activities third).I have no problem to open the Activity word document but when I try to launch Celestia 1.5.1-ED from Activity Word (Ctrl+left click) I got only a new empty window of Celestia with a cross-hair instead of the pointer.I got the same screen when I have tried to open just Celestia 1.5.1-ED from it`s desktop shortcut.
I have defragmented the computer after the installation and I have downloaded all file a couple of times just to make sure that I don`t have incomplete or corrupted files but it`s still not working.
Thank you for help.

aviation4kids:
Sorry about any troubles you may have with the installation. It appears that a file may be "hanging" when Celestia tries to open it.
Today, I sent a revision to the main program file of Celestia151-ED to the motherlode education page. It is called "Celestia151-ED-WIN.zip. Give the folks on the motherlode a few days to replace the older version, then uninstall your current version of Celestia151-ED. Download the new revision plus the education base package. Do not download or install any individual Activities yet.
Try to launch Celestia151-ED by clicking on the program icon in the Celestia151-ED folder. Let me know if the problem has now been solved. You can email me at fsgregs@comcast.net. If it has, you can download some individual Activity documents and they should work fine.

Re: Celestia1.5.1-ED intsalation problems
Windows Vista security was causing installation problems for Celestia-ED 1.5.1 here too. I succeeded by selecting "Run as Administrator" when installing the base program and also when unzipping the essentials and applications archive files. Hope this helps someone with installation issues when installing into Vista.
