Exporting Star Names From Celestia

I'm making a planet generation tool (my first program) and there will be a random planet feature. But i cant extract the names of the stars from Celestia, which i need to have to make a random stars text file.

How to extract all star names from Celestia ?

Names are stored in the file starnames.dat (note this also contains various catalogue numbers as well): open it in a text editor, the format should be fairly obvious (the first number is the Hipparcos number).

HD and SAO numbers are stored in the hdxindex.dat and saoxindex.dat files, format documented here.
