Stavner Says Hi!

I just downloaded Celestia, and it works great!

I know there are add-ons of spacecraft and asteroids, and I was just wondering:

---Can you simulate an asteroid or spacecraft crashing into a planet?

--Can you simulate a spacecraft exploding or being hit by a meteor?

Bear in mind that, although Celestia v1.5.1 can be used to simulate those kinds of things, nobody has published an Addon which does so.

Well, that's not completely true.
We have the Deep Impact by Jestr and Jack Higgins here
http://celestiamotherlode.net/catalog/show_addon_details.php?addon_id=639
with a spacecraft impacting an asteroid,
and Frank Gregorio's Activity #9 here
http://celestiamotherlode.net/catalog/show_addon_details.php?addon_id=882
with an hypothetical planet named Orpheus impacting the Earth billion years ago, generating this way the Moon.
Both are very nice, IMO, give a try.

Without add-ons, you just plainly see the two objects pass through each other and go on their merry way. Lol.
Current Setup:
Windows 7 64 bit. Celestia 1.6.0.
AMD Athlon Processor, 1.6 Ghz, 3 Gb RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics
