Okay and finally, I have modified almost everything in this package in order to get it accepted on the Motherlode.

Milos?
It will take a while to show up on the ML catalog, but I believe that it will be acceptable now. The following list contains everything I did in order to present the complete add-on successfully.

1. Modified ALL 3ds files to remove spaces, upper-case, and strange symbol references to the textures used.
2. Modified ALL texture files to the same specifications as in number 1 above.
3. Modified ALL read me files in order to explain (in English) what the proper credits and installation instructions should reflect.
4. Modified ALL folder names to the same specifications as explained in number 1 above.
5. Completely tested EVERYTHING in the finished package on my Vista system.
6. Created a models folder for use by the main asteroid.cms and rock12.3ds files, and modified one asteroid to utilize the rock12.3ds file.
7. Made certain that all subsystems had the appropriate models and textures\medres folders, and placed everything where it should be placed.
8. Created a completely new zip file for upload to the ML.

This has been a VERY educational process for me, so I thank you for this opportunity to learn something new. After the add-on has been placed on the Motherlode, please download it and see what you think. If you do NOT like anything I have done, just let me know about it, and I'll change whatever you like.

Thanks, very tired (but more educated) Brain-Dead Bob

Just so you know about it...
I have just finished uploading the file (92MB) now to the Motherlode.
Should be available for download as soon as Ulrich has the time to post it. Then, I also have 5 different screen shots that I will upload for it.

I have also gotten your other attempted upload, and I'll see if I can modify it too.
This is the last one though... I am getting worn out now. :(

Many thanks for the beer...
I am a Jack Daniels man though. (Or at least I would be if it didn't put me in the hospital now.)

Okay Peter... :)
Whatever you say.

Before you go trying to make any more add-ons though, do me a favor first...

Wait until you can download your own add-on from the ML, and then study very carefully how it is put together.
If you build all of your add-ons like the one you'll see when you download your own add-on (after all of my modifications)
then you'll be better able to understand what needs to be done in order for the add-on to be easily accepted on the ML.

Thanks, Bob

EDIT: Read your Private Mail too.

Okay Peter...

Your first add-on is now available on the ML HERE. Download it and have a look at all that I did to it so you know what is expected for your next add-on.

Peter, I do have the Nova Terra add-on too... It's just that I haven't gotten time to get to it yet.
Sorry, but have been VERY busy with you Star Trek nuts as of late. No offense meant, it's just that we are getting a LOT of
stuff for Star Trek lately, and I'm trying to convert your stuff, test and evaluate Tim's stuff, create my own add-ons, and I'm
also receiving (piece by piece) another add-on from a dial-up user so that I can create one large add-on for him.

I have been spending about 14 hours a day on the PC now, so I am working on it.
Have you downloaded your Tangiers add-on yet though? Did you see what I did to all of the pieces? This will (I hope) give you
some idea of what we expect in any add-on now.

Thanks, and I'll get the Nova Terra finished just as soon as I can.

Okay Peter,

Just so you know about it, I have finished the changes to your Nova Terra add-on, but I made it as a modification to the original Tangier System add-on. You'll understand what I mean when you see it listed on the Motherlode. Don't know when that will be because Ulrich is ALSO very busy now, but it has been uploaded.

Peter,

The new revised Nova Terra add-on can now be located HERE. Download, and have a read of the instructions. You will see why I made it the way it is currently made.

Thanks, Bob
