Hi all,
I upgraded my driver NVIDIA 78.01 to the new 81.98 release.
And now, I have a nice red Earth when I use OpenGL 2.0 path
I tried with the 1.4.0pre9, pre9-F and pre10 (I didn't find the 1.4.0 final ) with the same result
So I came back to the 78.01 and my Earth is blue as I like

I just upgraded under Linux the NVIDIA driver from 7676 to 8178 and everything is perfectly fine under the OpenGL 2.0 rendering path. No red planets etc.

Since Celestia 1.4.1 is available, this topic is maybe obsolete and it can be deleted, isn't you ?

Re: Celestia 1.4.0 prerelease FAQ
steve0 and snow123 seem to be spam-accounts registered by the same person (or bot).
They both have the same advertising links in their profile (I didn't follow, maybe this site tries to spread malware too...) and both post nonsense replies to ancient threads.
Selden / Chris, could you please remove these posts and accounts?

Steffens,
The two accounts post from different addresses, although it is suggestive that they have the same inappropriate web site link.
People new to Web forums often post to ancient threads without realizing what they're doing. I've seen that happen on other sites.
I've warned Snow123. We'll see what happens.

Re: Celestia 1.4.0 prerelease FAQ
Did you edit solarsys.ssc?
This sounds like you made an error in it.
If that is your problem, what version of Celestia are you running?
You do not have to download the entire installer.
You only have to download the version of solarsys.ssc for the version of Celestia that you have. Many different versions of solarsys.ssc are available on SourceForge at http://celestia.svn.sourceforge.net/vie ... c?view=log

Re: Celestia 1.4.0 prerelease FAQ
This thread is for an ancient prerelease version which got resurrected by spambots. Why is it still open?
Re: Celestia 1.4.0 prerelease FAQ
Because there's no reason to close it.
Some people are still running v1.4.0
Some people are still running v1.4.0

I could't think that smbody answered. Can you write (smbody) a message with ICQ number? course I haven't got an opportunity "visite" the internet so often.
