osX, 1.51? (today build) Bug

Post #1by ElChristou » 24.03.2008, 15:13

Got a problem with planetary grid; it's always the same, after launching Celestia, the first body on which I display the grid is fine, but not the following ones; I get something like that:

Chris,

I get exactly the same problem on Windows. See my bug report on the Sourceforge tracker:

I confirm there's a problem. Here's a view of Earth and Moon with their grid. Everything is nice, until I remove the grid on the Moon :

Here's what I get after I switched OFF the Moon's grid :

Switching OFF and ON again the grid gives something like ElChristou's picture.

Thanks for the report. I just committed revision 4220 which fixes the problem (and also address the label positioning problem that you reported, Cham.)

The bug appears to be gone. However, the label is still floating above the grid, at very close range. See the picture below :

They are much closer to the grid lines than before. At very close range, they're off because of the coarse subdivision of the circles. So, it will be fixed when I increase the geometry subdivision.
