Vista Home Basic / Celestia

Hello.

I have a problem :)

My configuration is:

I've instaled Celestia on it. And it's running very slow, while on my friends PC with XP, Celestia is running normal, full speed.

Where is the problem?

I see it's a laptop computer, what graphics card does it have on board?
Is it also slow when you use lores textures?

Don't know if it has anything to do with your slowness problems
or not, but I believe that Celestia is optimized for Vista Home
Premium version. I could be wrong, but I'm using Celestia with
this version and it runs fine on my machine. See specs in signature.

Thanks, Bob

I don't think this has anything to do
with the Vista version,
my guess would be that you don't have openGL 2.0
hardware support, or possibly limited support.

What video-chipset do you have on your laptop.
You can show the openGL capabilitis using /help/openGLinfo menu.
