Split view with different vantage points?

Post #1by rbroberts » 27.02.2008, 20:43

I'd like to run a simulation showing the solar system geometry that gives rise to both phases for Mercury and Venus, and retrograde motion for the other planets. To do, this, it would be very useful to be able to have two views with different observers (different viewing locations) but time synchronized.

Is it possible to do this? Right now I've only tried via the keyboard interface, can it be done via a script?

You can do this in script using the observer:splitview method. Harald Schmidt (author of many of the celx methods) wrote a script that creates nine views:

It's good example of how to use multiple views in celx.
