Take a look at this:

The Odysseus crater is cut in half and these beige marks don??t exist.
Problem in Steve Albers´Tethys texture
The last Steve Albers??s texture has the complete Odysseus crater. This is the FIRST texture that claim that maybe the Odysseus crater is npt completely known. The only answer to this maybe be that at 8K texture resolution, there isn??t enough data. But if this texture is STILL 4k, there is something wrong...
Look at this 16k Tethys VT texture on Celestia:

And look to the previous scalbers Thethys texture:
http://img528.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tethysel9.jpg
It seem that the old texture is less complete than the new, which doesn??t make sense.
Maybe Steve Albers was tired or he used another method to create the texture. But anyway,it??s a bit strange...

This isn't strange at all. If you compare...
Old: http://img528.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tethysel9.jpg
New: http://laps.fsl.noaa.gov/albers/sos/saturn/tethys/tethys_rgb_cyl_www.jpg
The new one simply has a higher resolution strip included over half of the crater. The beige splotches are unfortunate though.
