Learn to write script

Hi,
I'm learning to write scripts. Can somebody tell me if there is a manual from whom I can learn.
Before version 1.5 I used scripts already created by other to understand (more o less  ) how write mine, but now these scripts no longer work and I'm very disperate!
I'm using Celestia for a school project and would need help to start. I would be really happy if someone could give me a hand.
Thank you very much in advance.

PS: if it can be useful, I should create a script which should calculate all the positions of orbit of my observer that revolves around the Earth. I know that could be something stupid so I apologize for my question! Thx!

Did you not read the scripting FAQ above? That is to say, the early, sticky posts at the top of this forum? See HERE.

You can always visit the Celestia Motherlode to get the available guides by clicking HERE. They are not all that recent, but they are all we have at the moment.

Hope that helps, Bob
