Spaceflight trajectories

Post #1by rbroberts » 12.04.2008, 20:21

I'm trying to figure out how to execute a particular trajectory through space. I found the XYZBuilder script, but it doesn't seem to work with Celestia 1.5.0 on Linux. Each time I hit entery, I'm prompted for a target which was not expected. Even if I answer the prompts, after I've done more than the number of point I originally told it, I always get told I don't have enough points.

I've looked at scripted orbit, which is okay if I want an orbit. But I really want a particular trajectory through space with the start time undefined.

I'm about to sit down with pen and paper to try to calculate what I want but I was hoping for something easier :D

A friend of mine is working on a calculation program for celestia but it's a long work and time is missing
if you want to have a look it' here:
http://celestiasws.free.fr/orbite

you can try to create missions or xyz orbit, but there is certainly lot of bugs.
Please don't modify existing value .

Hope this program will be finished one day
