Can I turn on only *some* planet orbits?

Post #1by rbroberts » 04.02.2008, 03:10

I want to do a simulation showing the orbit of the earth and moon and the geometry that causes eclipses. To do this, it's helpful to turn on orbits. But having every planet and moon orbit turned on is distracting. It doesn't look like there is any way to only turn on some orbits (in my case, just the earth and moon) while leaving the rest off. Have I missed something?

And while I'm here, I'll mention the other problem (also discussed in this thread http://celestiaproject.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11964), the moon's orbit is not updated, so after a few years in the simulation, the moon appears to be seriously off it's orbit. Is there some way to force celestia to recalculate the orbit?

To the first question, yes, it's coming for Celestia 1.5.1.

To the second question, no, it isn't there yet.
