How Can I make a star orbit a star?

Post #1by AlexChan » 22.08.2006, 20:40

Any script can do this without using "OrbitBarycenter"??
Just like HD 188753, 2 stars (barycenter) orbit a star...

And Also...I want to know, how can I find and input the value of "RA" and "Dec" when I add a new star?

Thank you so much

Yes.

You might take a look at the Web page
http://www.lepp.cornell.edu/~seb/celest ... eters.html
where I attempted to describe the new STC features.

p.s.
If you want to define a known star for Celestia, its coordinates should be available from Simbad.
