Need help on trajectory calculation

I need to calculate a trajectory from the Ooort cloud to smash an asteroid against the moon, somewhere between Oceanus Procelarum and Mare Insularum. The asteroid should pass near Earth before impacting. The travel of the asteroid should take 10 years. It must happen in the very future, when Pluto might be colonized.

Can anyone help me? It's for a scifi story I wrote years ago. I'd like to add the technical details and if possible to see how it would look.

The asteroid is intended to blast an entire moonbase with cataclismic effects. What size should the asteroid have?

How do I make those calculations? Anyone, help, please. :)

Hi Ar81,for a one off impact at a specific time your best bet would be an xyz orbit for your asteroid.Check out Runars Gallia addon for something similar.Making the xyz orbit isnt perhaps so easy though Toti's XYZ builder script will help immenslely,I think you need to use it in Celestia 1.3.2 though to generate the correct coordinates. You can find both of the above listed on the Motherlode site.Good luck,Jestr
