WORLD CUP 2006 - Nothing at all to do with Celestia

Post #1by Telepath » 10.07.2006, 17:20

A few Italians and Frenchies are regular visitors to this forum, so I thought you might enjoy a few funny moments from the WC Final. (Note: You may be more or less amused by these depending on whether you're French or Italian).
There's only one at the moment (listen carefully to the commentary), but I plan to add more later.

EDIT: If you couldn't view the video, that was my fault. TRY AGAIN, should be OK now.

I think next time they'll wait for the actual end of the game, rather than the 90th minute, to cast their votes.

Yeah,

Apparently the votes were counted at half-time.

Well, I'm Italian and a soccer fan, so I strongly enjoyed my Team's victory, but at the same time I'm sad to see Zidane, one of the best soccer champions that ever played a ball, end his career is such a shameful way.
My only hope is that tiredness, strain, and perhaps the incoming doubts on the final winner, pushed Zidane to that.
Better another way, anyhow.
But this is life.
Bye

Sorry, I don't agree. 8O
Whatever Materazzi told him, a professional footballer like Zidane had to reply with words, not with the head, IMO, otherwise everything could be allowed on the game field.
It's not so, thanks God.

Too many pressure, I guess (last match, WC Finale, etc )... And Materazzi is well known for his (habitual) spicy insults... and as a catcher, too! (3months punished for a "coup de poing") this is not a frequentable (professionnal) footballer... :(

The spectacle was wasted.Jeam

For what I have seen, Zidane too is not the first time that uses the head instead of brains, isn't it? And the same for the feet!
Jam Tag, this World Cup was Zidane's last one, so he could bear any insult (did you listen to it? And are you sure that Zidane was silent for him?) and finish his career in a more glorious way.
Bye

Or on a more space-related theme...
