I shouldn??t do that,but it??s politics that is killing the space program.And I thought Purgatory would be an off topic forum...

Topics that are likely to cause flamewars are not acceptable, no matter which Celestia forum they're in. There are plenty of other discussion groups where such things are more appropriate.

If you want, I can provide you the link to my Great Big Group of Everything on Yahoo! groups. The range of topics is, as the name implies, pretty much open. The only thing not allowed is out and open personal attacks, or using the list to further your beliefs while ignoring everyone else's replies.

And the one main thing required is that, if you make claims, then you need to back them up with references, and you must do so in an appropriate manner. For instance, while I didn't see your post in this forum, if it did indeed deal with politics killing the US space program, then the thread title that you currently have would be considered *highly* inappropriate.

If you mean on the Great Big Group... then no. I still insist on civility. Things can get heated, but degeneration into flame wars will pretty much end anyone's participation in any discussions.
