is that possible, cause i have noticed so many users logged in at once, maybe something like a chat box will be great for do some real time talkings

While it would be useful, I doubt it'll happen. Chris is busy doing other things, and it'd be just one more task for him.

it's very simple to do that, just one database table, then edit 1 or 2 files, thats all
i think if, you as a moderator, have the power to access the directories(on the webserver where PHPBB was installed) you can do that, its simple, if need any help , i will be there, for sure

Unfortunately, as moderator I can only affect postings to the Forum.
Admin priv's are needed to modify the underlying forum configuration.

In mid-2004 there was a #celestia irc channel. I don't know if it still exists.

I think my mIRC program is either messed or I just don't understand how to use it...

Well a chat room would be cool idea. I am for it if ever happens. I personaly hate the amount of time it takes for emails and PM to talk with someone. If we had a chatroom and your online someone could ask a question directly and you could answer back in real time. Of course this also will bring up other issues, such as conduct control. But all in all it would be a great way to bring allot of Celestia community feel that has been lost over the last year. I know personaly I nearing the end of my rope when it comes to all things Celestia anymore....
