I've had this bookmarked for a while now. It's funny, but before about 6 months ago, I've pretty much ignored webcams. And now, in that time, I've accrued a huge collection of them. Not quite sure what happened to do that, but it was *fun*, I can tell you, to watch St. Helens belch away.

Have a look at the Southpole Web camera! It seems that the season is going to change in the near furture...:
Right now --for the first time in months-- it's foggy/overcast and rather dark at 17:00 UTC.
Can you see those new guiding posts with little flags attached! They are NEWLy installed. I guess they are to avoid people getting lost in bad weather!

Wow! Looks like an unforgettable experience. I have extensively travelled the Arctic, but never made it further South than Buenos Aires...
