Is anybody else here a fan of these stories? I recently bought the four prequels to Niven's Ringworld series.

Fleet of Worlds
Juggler of Worlds
Destroyer of Worlds
Betrayer of Worlds

I haven't read them yet but Nessus from Ringworld is supposed to be in them and the 4th book has Louis Wu in it.
Has anybody read these books and if so, were they good?

Also, Man-Kzin Wars XII is available in paperback and is very good. :)

@ Reiko: Niven is easy to read and has qualities. However, I recommend a book written by a polish author: Stanislaw Lem; The Futurological Congress...

by the third you would donate most too.
Yes.

And because sometimes it's better to read one good book ten times, than ten bad books one time...

Otherwise it's just distraction. The desire for distraction is due to boredom. And boredom arises from stupidity.

I've learned the 5th book in the "worlds" series will be a sequel to the Ringworld books. It was hinted that it will be titled Fate of Worlds and will be another collaboration between Larry Niven and Edward Lerner. :D :D

You might wish to get a copy of Larry Niven's World of Ptavvs. In the various Tales of Known Space, you will come across references to the Slaver-Tnuctipun War. World of Ptavvs will add more background to the references.
