Board themes
Board themes
So we have a new board with 3 themes to choose from. Which theme are people using? I'm on the subSilver2 option myself.

Not the only one: I'm using it too. It'd be nice with a custom title image.

Serenity isn't bad, but please, let's choose as default a theme using the full screen (Serenity is 1024)...
I stay with prosilver, I'm a little bored by sub...
Re: Board themes
I prefer Serenity DarkBlue, though the default theme is a *huge* improvement over both phpBB 2?s old default theme and Solaris.

Vincent,
You do realize that you've stirred up another can of worms, don't you?
And I can tell this is going to need to become another topic.
Personally, I think it'd look better with more contrast between the title and the background -- by adding some yellow to the letters, perhaps.

Yeah, the 1024 width bothers me, but otherwise I like it. I'm going to install MKruer's ProSilver_WS.

Runar, it's harsh to mod Serenity for full screen?

I haven?t looked at the code, but making it full-screen per se i don?t think is any problem. Modding it so that all its elements flows nicely with it might be another matter. However, there are lots of people modding phpbb, so perhaps somebody has done it already?
I am not going to do it, there is enough work on the CM... An upgrade to phpBB3 is something we should discuss there too, now that it is officially released - there are a lot of nice functionality in it... I just want to wait a little, gathering impressions from shatters first.

Didn't know this idiom, by the way. Good to learn.

I'm using the default theme. I'll play around with the other settings at a later date.

I thought the idiom was to open up a whole new can of worms, not to stir it up...

Whereas stirring a can of worms is... well... quite a mess. Any fisherman could tell you that!selden wrote:opening a can of worms generally means that you're stirring up trouble.
