Celestia-ED includes support for synchronized sound.

Unfortunately, no sound support is included in the standard version of Celestia.

bh,

I don't think this statement was a request for Celestia functionality, but rather a statement of intent with regards to the world in general. :)

Reiko, I am glad you can now hear. :D I must, however ask, hear sounds in general (outside Celestia, in "real life")? Or do you refer to Celestia's sounds?
Current Setup:
Windows 7 64 bit. Celestia 1.6.0.
AMD Athlon Processor, 1.6 Ghz, 3 Gb RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics

Yeah, I got these implants earlier this year that let me hear now. They are called bone anchored hearing aids.
I call them my borg implants. lol

Ever since then I've been running around trying to hear everything I can. :P

Reiko, I am also happy you can now hear. Medical technology is really getting amazing.
If you lived around my area, you would have awakened this morning to the sight of snow on the ground and the sound of Thunder in the air. Thundersnow. :D

Reiko,

that must be an incredible experience!

During your deaf time, did you have also problems with speaking? In other words, are you now also busy improving to speak?

Thanks everybody! :D

I have been listening to all kinds of music. So far I think my favorite is Vangelis.

Yes I've always had trouble speaking and making myself understood. I've been going to speech therapy for it and will admit it is the most frustrating experience of my life. After each session I'm exhausted plus my mouth and throat will be aching.
I'm still in the habit of relying on sign language when talking with my family and friends. I doubt I'll ever completely shake that.

Even though I can hear people speak I also continue to rely on lip reading to understand them. Music on the other hand is different, I can repeat most of what I can hear with music particularly if it is piano.

Very good. I think you may listen quiet music first, just to accustom the ears. In particulary the classic music (symphonies), where the sound's frequency is set out throughout the spectrum. Some music instead fullfill single areas only.
Never at rest.
